Now that Wyatt's cast has been off for about a week, I finally made a video of him walking around with it on! This was taken the evening before it came off...

Dinosaur Museum!
On April 17th, we took Owen to the Rocky Mountain Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park, and Wyatt stayed home with Grammy. We had a wonderful time! We really got to take our time and focus on all the details, which would have been impossible with Wyatt. Owen loved everything about the trip and came home with TONS of new info about dinosaurs.
Owen is posing with a T Rex tibia here...this was super exciting because that's the same bone that Wyatt broke!
Owen and Josh with a "Denversaurus".

Easter Weekend
On Easter weekend, my friend, Kylie, and her daughters visited on Friday and Saturday. We took the kids to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on Saturday morning. Despite the wind, we had alot of fun!
Danika and Owen on a mountain lion...
Wyatt's favorite part was the chickens in the petting zoo. He'll be happy when his cast is off, so he can explore the zoo a little easier on foot!
The kids got to feed millet to the birds...
After Kylie left, we decorated eggs. Owen had a blast with that! Here he is, posing with all his supplies...
The Easter bunny came on Sunday morning. Owen and Wyatt found eggs and got new toys for the sand box. They were both very excited! Ben, Brenda, Amelia, Cavan, Shep, and Linda visited on Sunday morning, but we somehow forgot to take pictures of that!

The Highs and Lows of Spring Break 2010
For the most part, Spring Break was wonderful this year. We visited Becky, Devin, Logan and Laila in Los Alamos, NM. Owen and Logan played together like never before. They would play in Logan's room for hours on end (some sort of rocket ship/dinosaur hybrid game). They have become great little buddies.

We visited Bandelier National Monument. It was so much fun and really perfect for families with kids.

Wyatt was a big fan of the ladders.
Owen and Laila were big fans of a little maze area.
The end of a succesful outing...
Despite all the pictures of Bandelier, we mostly hung out at Becky and Devin's house and enjoyed their park, their backyard, and all their toys. A typical morning at the Close house...
On our last morning at Becky and Devin's, Bree and Wyatt fell down the stairs. Wyatt fractured his leg. Poor baby! First, our pediatrician put the leg in a splint....good thing it doesn't prevent him from riding his horse! He looks in good spirits in this picture, but he's been pretty grumpy at times. He needs lots of cuddles and entertaining, but he's getting a little better every day.

February 2010
What a cold and dreary month! We haven't been able to get outside much, but Owen has been passing the time by building, building and building!
Wyatt mostly wanders around, getting into things and being cute.

The most notable development this month has been that Wyatt is trying to walk. This video was taken on February 21. Wyatt has been getting better and better at walking each day. He has taken up to 10 steps at a time and is getting more confident. I think he'll be really happy when he starts walking!
