The Highs and Lows of Spring Break 2010

For the most part, Spring Break was wonderful this year. We visited Becky, Devin, Logan and Laila in Los Alamos, NM. Owen and Logan played together like never before. They would play in Logan's room for hours on end (some sort of rocket ship/dinosaur hybrid game). They have become great little buddies.
We visited Bandelier National Monument. It was so much fun and really perfect for families with kids.
Josh, Devin, Logan, and Owen looking out of a cave dwelling.

Wyatt was a big fan of the ladders.
Owen and Laila were big fans of a little maze area.

Laila liked the view from the caves, too.

The end of a succesful outing...

Despite all the pictures of Bandelier, we mostly hung out at Becky and Devin's house and enjoyed their park, their backyard, and all their toys. A typical morning at the Close house... On our last morning at Becky and Devin's, Bree and Wyatt fell down the stairs. Wyatt fractured his leg. Poor baby! First, our pediatrician put the leg in a splint....good thing it doesn't prevent him from riding his horse! He looks in good spirits in this picture, but he's been pretty grumpy at times. He needs lots of cuddles and entertaining, but he's getting a little better every day.

Two days later, he got a cast. He'll wear this for about 3 1/2 weeks.

He's already learning to get around. He's super fast at crawling already and is already learning to take several steps. I have a feeling that he'll be pretty good at getting around by the time the cast comes off.
