Happy 3rd Birthday, Wyatt!

Wyatt turned 3 on January 14th and we celebrated twice.  What a lucky boy!  On his actual birthday, we just opened a few presents and had sugar cookies.  Wyatt loved his new truck that he can assemble/disassemble.
Aunt Lauren sent him pteranodon wings.  Wyatt ADORES dressing up, so these were a big hit.  He runs around in them, saying "Caw-caw."
He also got a some puzzles and games that were perfect for a little 3-year-old!
The next weekend, we had Wyatt's friends over for a snowman-themed party.  He thought of this theme on his own and was very proud of it.  Here's the cake...
And the table, all ready for his friends to arrive.  Look at who is trying to pull the cake off the table!
Josh made a little "Luigi" snowman out of balloons.

We're all ready for a game of pin-the-nose-on-the-snowman...
The kids made little snow measuring sticks, decorated as snowmen...
and there was also a snowman-shaped ball toss.  They threw styrofoam "snowballs" into all of the openings.  Wyatt is trying to look like his snowman!
I just had to throw this picture in.  Owen insisted on posing with this tough-guy face all day.  I don't know where he learned it!
Owen, Wyatt and Molly were getting restless before their friends arrived, so we decided to make a mural on the wall.  It actually turned out to be a great activity for the friends to do, too, while we were waiting for the last guests to trickle in.
Wyatt really did a great job in placing his carrot nose!

Molly loved the snowball toss...
All the kiddos (and Nana) enjoying cake and lemonade.
As always, Wyatt (and Owen) had fun opening presents.

Molly had a ball getting covered in tissue and wrapping paper.

Christmas Morning 2011

We finally went through our Christmas videos and I just had to include a little Christmas update with a few clips, especially the very first scene of Owen losing his mind!  It was a really magical Christmas.

Merry Christmas 2011

This year we celebrated Christmas with the Hobgood clan, which meant 7 kiddos, ages 5 and under all crammed into the same house for three days straight.  It was fun, intense and so worth it!  We spent Christmas Eve at our house and enjoyed several bowls of soup, several gingerbread cookies and a little snuggling on the couch, which watching "Alvin and the Chipmunks."
My friend, Kylie, sent Molly this adorable Christmas tutu.  She was very pleased about her first dress-up!
Santa came to our house for Owen, Wyatt, Molly, Logan and Laila.  He surprised Wyatt with a Bat Cave (and some action figures to go in it).
Laila got the gymnastics costume that she had been hoping for....
Molly got a baby and a stroller, and she knew exactly what to do with it.
Both Owen and Logan asked for Star Wars stuff (plus other miscellaneous weaponry...they are such boys).  I just had to include these action shots.  I love the serious looks on all the boys' faces as they pace around with their grabbers, light sabers, pirate knifes, etc. If you don't already know to do this, try clicking on one of the pictures and you can see a closer view:-)

After the Christmas morning fun, we headed to Pueblo for Christmas Day fun.  There was some cute sibling hand-holding in the car.  They actually do this all the time.
Molly had a ball running around in Linda and Shep's house.
After everyone was organized and accounted for, mad present opening ensued!  Once again, I love Owen's face.  He was opening a Star Wars Transformer from Logan and Laila.
 Wyatt loved his "Christmas crown".
For the first time in many years, we took family pictures.  We could not get all the kids to look at the camera at the same time, but no one was crying!

Brenda had a great idea to get the kids involved in a craft before dinner.  They made personalized placemats.  Our little pirate really loved this activity.

We followed up Christmas with a Belteau Christmas in Monument on New Year's Day.  It was almost impossible to get pictures because Molly kept running towards the stairs, but we got a few cute shots.
