May 2011...Molly is 5 months old!

Molly is 5 months old now and a happy, healthy little girl!  She weighs almost 14 pounds and is becoming quite strong.  She can roll from her back to her stomach quite easily and is starting to sit up for a few seconds at a time.  She has also recently discovered her feet, which bring her tons of joy.  She loves being out and about on walks, hikes, errands, picnics, etc.  Our next adventure with Molly is rice cereal...we plan on starting solids by the end of May.  We've finally had a few warm days around here, and Molly has been able to wear some of her adorable spring dresses....

 Both boys really love playing with Molly and showering her with lots of attention.

May is always a super busy month around here.  Josh has so many additional responsibilities because of the end of the school year.  We found out that the final middle school band concert was going to feature an epic light saber battle between Josh, dressed as Darth Vader, and an 8th grade "band nerd".  Owen even got to participate as a little Darth Vader.  I filmed a little bit of it (see the video below), but it was really difficult.  I was holding Wyatt AND Molly and Wyatt kept trying to wiggle away and join in the fight.  You can hear him say "I want my blue light saber" several times at the very end...he was quite jealous.  Thankfully, both boys got to run around in the Darth Vader helmets for awhile after the concert!

 We also got to join Ben, Brenda, Amelia, Cavan, Shep & Linda for a quick picnic and hike on Mother's Day.  It's funny to see Amelia all bundled up and the boys in shorts.  It was actually a very beautiful day.
